Instructional Designers and Content Area Domain Experts for Advanced Teacher Education

The NAATE program is unlike other professional learning programs in that it:

  • Serves only high-performing, experienced teachers;
  • Is a national program drawing teachers from public districts, charter management organizations and faith-based networks from across the country;
  • Employs an inquiry-based pedagogical approach built on case-based learning;
  • Is based on the belief that to become a teacher leader within a school, teachers must continue to hone their instructional craft as well as develop skills for leading and supporting other adults;
  • Includes an intensive in-residence program (2 weeks each summer over two years, and one long weekend during the academic year).

We are looking to fill full- and part-time Instructional Designers and Content Area Domain Experts positions on our team to develop the teaching and learning dimensions of our work. Instructional Designers will guide the development of content for the NAATE program including curriculum development, case study writing and pre-work and classwork design. Working with the founding team, Instructional Designers will play a critical role in shaping the program and creating content that engages, challenges, and stretches teacher participants in a way that is consistent with the extensive research and overarching design already completed.

About the Positions
